Conversation with Neelam Batra-Verma Part 2

Another inspiring conversation with Neelam Batra-Verma and her initial experience as a journalist and writer on this side of the world. Sometimes the most unexpected happens, colors of gender power are revealed, not only this discrimination strikes from within, just when you felt that you belong ….a wise sage rightly said, that a lion can be devoured by the parasites in its own gut. What do we do with it ??? Togetherness is the in the Spirit of a collective, whereas discrimination-based ideology of ‘oneness’ is like a hole in its bucket. Thriving is such a space, is allowing power and fear takeover. Would that be thriving? It can turn into a mob mentality, where the Spirit may just suffocate. These challenges may remain, but her resilience and daily strategies to do what she enjoyed doing helped to persevere and win. She successfully published her own magazine, her first book and a second one is ready and on route to be published! Her work is around lives of people, and this is the golden strand that connects all her creative works from writing to paintings. Takeaway for anyone passionate about writing a book, start to write, journal allocate some time each day, continue and not to give up. Write about anything that happened during the day, anything you care deeply about … just start! Please listen to her carefully , lots to hear and learn This was a beautiful conversation of a lived experience, a truth many of us go through, one may just let it be or tell ourselves ‘no matter what’, I will make it … how can we impact the lives of others through this shared real life drama... persevere and see life unfold beautifully !
