She is the Director of Women’s Programs and Initiatives at the Progressive Intercultural Community Services (PICS), Vancouver,Surrey , engages in heartwarming and deeply grounding conversations that resonate with the core of human experiences. Her dedication extends to the Harmony House Second Stage Transition House Program, where she supports immigrant women and children escaping domestic violence in Vancouver and Surrey, British Columbia.
Neena, driven by a profound commitment to community empowerment, has secured funding for poverty law outreach and advocacy programs. With over three decades of expertise in trauma-informed counseling, Addiction, and Mental Health, she focuses on aiding women facing diverse barriers. Neena's transformative contributions include establishing the SAHAS Helpline, a confidential, multilingual service providing immediate emotional support and crisis intervention. She emphasizes the importance of seeking help promptly, advocating for voicing concerns before situations escalate. Neena passionately urges women, especially the youth, to vocalize struggles, recognize personal triggers, and seek assistance when needed. She believes knowledge empowers, fostering informed, aware, and united community support. Rejecting judgment, she champions a culture of understanding and mutual support, recognizing that uplifting others uplifts us all.
